We feel that though you are at school to learn, it doesn't hurt to have
a little fun from time to time. ATO prides itself on having innovative
socials that sororities love to participate in. Some of our annual
social events are our Halloween Party, Winter Formal, Black and White
Party, and the ever popular Valhalla Viking Party, plus many mixers
with the lovely sororities on Mercer's campus.

Each year, the brothers of Alpha Tau Omega take a weekend to forget about schoolwork and spend time developing the bonds that make ATO brotherhood strong. This year the retreat was held at the Stewarts', who graciously provided their home and also cooked for us. After several team-building exercises that night, we ate a huge delicious dinner and just hung out for a while. At the end of the night, we gathered fire wood and sat around a bonfire doing Good of the Order. Some brothers camped out around the fire, while others returned to the house to take shelter from the cold. The next morning the Stewarts cooked us breakfast before we returned to the routine of school and work.

Another fun tradition of ATO is the annual Big Pig Jig festival in Vienna, Georgia. For the past few years, brothers have driven to Vienna to enjoy the fun, fellowship, and Bar-B-Que that the festival provides. This year, ATO mixed things up a little and instead of going to the actual festival, the brothers retired to Spurgeon's where friends gathered to enjoy his cooking and the fellowship of all.

ATO/ADPi: A Day at the Races |

As a great way to slow down the semester and relax before the beginning of finals, the brothers of ATO invited the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi to join them in A Day at the Races. We dressed in our most preppy attire only to be outdone by the classy ladies from across the street adorned in sundresses and sunhats. With an afternoon of food and conversation, maybe the only thing that could have made it more enjoyable would have been some some of minty drink.

At the close of Valhalla Week, the brothers of Alpha Tau Omega went to formal at the Chateau Elan from November 10-12, 2006. Saturday was filled with activities such as a tour of Mayfield Dairy, a tour of the Chateau's winery, and a trip to the Mall of Georgia. The dinner before formal was amazing, wrapping up with a dance that was sure to be remembered by all. Though the brothers didn't want to return from such an amazing weekend, all left with memories that would never be forgotten.

First Annual Alumni and Friends Golf Tournament |

The previously known Charity Golf Tournament has been revamped and remade into ATO's Annual Alumni and Friends tournament. Held on October 14, the tournament hosted many ATO alumni as well as friends and family of the brothers.Prizes were given for the team with the lowest score, and individual prizes were given out for longest drive, closest to the pin and other challenges. As enjoyable as the tournament was, it is sure to become a staple of ATO and we hope to have even greater participation in the future.
